This is the main driving force behind our organisation. We are working hard to create fusion energy and find a way to bring it into our homes. Fusion power could change the world if we can make it work due to almost zero carbon emissions. We are also working on autonomous vehicles on site, this will change the world dramatically and will hopefully only be a positive for people. We also have a new facility opening on site that will be looking to recycle tritium. We are hoping to find a way to recycle tritium that has been used in other areas to make it a reusable source and to do away with tritium waste. We have a lot of purpose here at UKAEA and we hope the work we do will only make for a better and brighter future for the world.
Many people automatically look towards the ‘new age’ ‘green energy’ companies who have arisen in recent years from the embers of fossil fuel organisations. It will be an interesting debate to include the work that UKAEA is doing too, to give us the widest perspective. Thanks for sharing.
Coming for a long established manufacturing group of companies its easy for them to get set in their ways of processes/manufacturing that have been developed over many years. This concept is very inward looking and asks question and highlights subjects that can be over looked. This will be an interesting tool to address with my team. Mindful purpose will help give us collective clarity on who we are, what we are good at and why we are here in the first place. I feel this would enable internal and external stakeholders to understand us and buy into our ethos more effectively.
I find it’s very easy for a business to be so driven at looking outside the business and identifying any which way to benefit them. With this new way of looking inwards at your business by focusing on your purpose and how that may come across to potential customers.
