I started early within business, from as young as 10 years old I was involved in a family run hydraulic manufacturing business, the practical way of learning to build, solve problems, finding out how things worked and if there were ways to improve them. The same curiosity and approach extends to the work I do today. I helped create The Mindful Collective to find ways to improve businesses and put them on a path towards a more economically and environmentally sustainable future. For all the negative press and social media coverage big businesses and corporations get I still believe they can be a powerful force for great things (or terrible if left unchecked). I also believe there is an increasing number of people who just want businesses to think and operate more ethically and sustainably. I’m extremely passionate that The Collective can be an instigator and facilitator of change; want to help move your company off carbon based energy and reduce waste? We’ll all share the best way forward. Want to improve mental health support for workers inside your organisation? Great lets make it a movement, the possibilities are endless! It’s hard not to be a pessimistic millennial when it comes the problems of the world and sometimes I truly worry about what the future holds for my generation and those ahead of me but so many people are recognising the need for a fundamental change that its time we get up and make it happen! I’m excited to start a journey where we can all discover the best solutions to the problems we all collectively face and put best practices into actual use to improve not only businesses but the world!

When I graduated back in the late 80's with a degree in Psychology I didn't realise that I had just begun a lifelong journey into exploring self-awareness, introversion and personal wellbeing. Through two decades of commercial experience in a range of different marketplaces I somehow became distracted though and was swept along by a more traditional way of doing business; The old way of doing marketing, as I call it. In recent years, and spurred on by a rekindling of my interest in mindfulness and spirituality, I have become a Reiki practitioner and am enjoying the disciplines of yoga and progressive relaxation. It feels as though I've come full circle and I'm now introducing new thinking into marketing and business practice, driving more mindful business decision making and strategies and helping marketers and business leaders awaken and strive for more ethical profit and sustainability. This has been fundamental in the whole idea behind The Mindful Collective and I hope you'll feel as passionate as I do about this 'perfect storm'... the time is now. Neil Wilkins MCIM FCMC BSc (hons) Psychology has over 30 years marketing and commercial experience in a wide range of industries including telecoms, government, manufacturing and financial services.

Wherever I look I see the opportunity to enable people to become more mindful, more self-aware and to align their dreams and intentions with a sustainable way of living. This is a wonderful time to be alive. As a species we are opening up new ways of thinking, being and living. In communities we are helping each other find and evolve our higher purposes. In business we are collectively realising that the old ways of leading, managing and interacting, are being quickly replaced by modern and more ethical, planet and people-friendly ways of engaging and trading with each other. I believe we are all on a journey of discovery. I know I am. After ten years spent in people development and change agent roles, I have recently begun to resurrect my journey of self discovery and learning. I have completed my level 2 MBTI practitioner training as well as a range of holistic programmes that draw together complimentary threads that facilitate mindfulness in others. As Founder of The Mindful Collective I will be focusing on enabling leaders, managers and their teams to inspire, empower and develop on our collective journey to a better commercial planet. Sonya Wilkins is a highly effective consultant in the fields of People & Team Development, Coaching & Mentoring, Personality Testing, Process & Efficiency Strategies.
